Grounded in Barcelona, the Beyond Growth Project aims to popularise, in the Global North, the ideas on ecological economics, wellbeing economics, post growth and degrowth. While these ideas are gaining traction in academic circles, it is essential that they become widely recognized and embraced by society as a whole.
We firmly believe that this philosophy is the key to guiding humanity through the climate crisis and toward a thriving future. We are so convinced of its appeal that I believe 99% of people would find it desirable.
In a time when both our planet and democracies face unprecedented threats, the Beyond Growth philosophy emerges as a beacon of hope and a call to action.

About me
I’m Alba and I am decided to boost the transformation towards a fair and happy society that is sustainable within the planetary limits.
Graduated in both physics and chemistry, I have learned to analyze complex systems and seek solutions grounded in evidence. My experience in the public sector, both at local and regional levels — first in the government of my city and then in the government of my region, has given me insight into how policies are shaped and how real change can happen.
My goal is to bridge the gap between vision and action, ensuring that good intentions translate into meaningful outcomes. Because together, we can build a society that is not only sustainable but also just and joyful.
